About this style
Contour is defined by one element: the rounded plate. Every content block sits on a plate with generously rounded corners, arranged in tidy grids of two to six blocks, rows of steps or columns of tiers. The fill is flexible: plates can be a single monochrome tone, or take different contrasting colors from slide to slide or block to block, while the shape stays the same. Slides stay flat and uncluttered, with large headlines and ample margins. Layouts include a numbered six-block overview, a two-sided comparison with pill-shaped headers and a central circular badge, a four-phase path with circular icon nodes and dotted drop lines, tiered offers, and portrait plates with a rounded photo on top. Quotes sit centered on empty space. Typefaces and colors are not fixed: they come from the user’s brand or theme. The style suits product launches, pitches, marketing and sales presentations. It handles short statements, comparisons, steps and photos well. It is less suited to long documents and dense tables.
Questions and 💬 answers
Does Contour keep its look when colors and fonts change?
Yes. The look comes from the brush-stroke forms, the three card treatments and the central badge layouts, none of which depend on a palette or a typeface. Any brand colors and fonts can be applied, and the deck still reads as one energetic, recognizable system.
Does Contour work for a side-by-side comparison?
Yes. Two columns with pill-shaped headers and a central circular badge frame the contrast clearly, and rows of matching cards line up point by point. The outlined and filled treatments let one side stand out, so the comparison reads at a glance.
Does Contour work for a roadmap or process?
Yes. A wavy path links circular icon nodes with numbers above and dotted drop lines to short captions, so the direction is clear. The path ends in an arrow, which gives the sequence a sense of forward movement from the first phase to the last.
